Change the appearance of menus

You can change the appearance of the Open, Quit, Switch, and Special menus by hiding icons and using a smaller font size.

To change the appearance of menus:

Open the Application Wizard pane in System Preferences and click Menus.

To hide icons, deselect the ”Show icons” checkbox. Hiding icons can speed up the display of menus on slower computers.
To reduce the size of menus, select the ”Use smaller font size” checkbox.
